Nursery brand, Ickle Bubba, is bucking the trend of post-pandemic decline this autumn, as it expands its business into new territories France and Germany.
The strategic move of launching into two key European markets follows Ickle Bubba’s more recent expansion into Australia and Spain and coincides with the firm’s launch into the nursery interiors market.
Co-founder, Fran Vaughan commented: “International expansion across all categories has remained a clear focus for the past three years here at Ickle Bubba. We’re now at a pivotal point as we launch into two major markets. Eight years ago, we couldn’t have foreseen such exponential growth over such a short period of time. Of course, there are always challenges, including the pandemic and Brexit but so far, we’re staying ahead of the curve and optimistic for the future.”
“Having achieved consecutive triple digit growth for each of the last four years, the Ickle Bubba team have grown from a team of 11 based in Wales to an international team of 64 people across seven different countries. With 128 stockists in the UK alone, we are grateful for our continued growth and believe we will continue to do so by staying true to Ickle Bubba’s founding principles, to deliver great products at brilliant value.”
Along with its international expansion, this autumn also marks the introduction of the company’s new nursery bedding and interiors range. With more product categories set to launch in the near future, Ickle Bubba’s continued growth is reflected in its recent expansion to the new Swansea HQ, where the company has invested in 45,000 sq ft of warehouse space.
