Etta Loves supports neonatal units

Home of sensory baby essentials, Etta Loves, is supporting Neonatal Intensive Care Units across the UK with regular product donations.

Each month, Etta Loves donates its sensory muslins and bonding squares to the units that have been nominated by customers and social media followers, with the aim of offering support to parents and babies during their time in NICU.

Last year, the company donated over 3,000 muslins to 40 nominated units. Each quarter, Etta Loves reviews the nominated entries. To nominated a NICU to benefit from the donations, customers can email their nominations to hello@ettaloves.com.

The muslins and bonding squares are adorned with the love heart print, drawn by five ‘heartists’ – children who started their lives in NICU and are now thriving. The muslins are made from organic cotton in high contrast black and white patterns and designed to support babies’ cognitive and visual development.

Bonding squares support the connection between babies and parents when they are in NICU. One is kept against a parents’ skin and the other in the incubator and they are swapped regularly. The scent transference between parent and child has been proven to be beneficial for developing a bond even when separated.
