Maxi-Cosi launches world’s first lie-flat i-Size car seat

Baby brand Maxi-Cosi has launched the world’s first ever lie-flat car seat carrycot for newborns to comply with the highest possible safety regulations (R129).

The Maxi-Cosi Jade combines the safety of a car seat and the sleep comfort of a carrycot, offering a travel solution where baby is safe to travel for longer periods of time. The carrycot offers proven head and neck protection as well as side impact protection with Maxi-Cosi’s honeycomb technology.

Erik Salters, safety research engineer at Maxi-Cosi comments: “Studies show that babies need up to 18 hours of good sleep per day. The Jade car carrycot allows your baby to sleep uninterrupted, in a healthy position, when and wherever you’re going with your family.”

He continued: “Thanks to the carrycot’s benefit of providing a full lie-flat sleeping position of 180 degrees and the highly comfortable soft touch inlay, babies sleep as good in the Jade as in their own crib.”

A unique Slide & Go installation system offers a seamless transfer from pushchair to the Isofix base in the car, ensuring it is always installed correctly and safely.
