JetKids and BarnOmbord join the Stokke family

Stokke, the leading Scandinavian designer and distributor of high-quality children’s furniture and other equipment, has acquired 51% of Norwegian company JetKids and its subsidiary BarnOmbord.

As a leading name in the nursery industry, Stokke is synonymous with smart, Scandinavian design that promotes bonding and healthy development. With the added benefits offered by JetKids and BarnOmbord, Stokke intends to strengthen its market share by offering even better solutions for children and their families.

JetKids develops and produces first class travel solutions for children (such as the JetKids BedBox, a ride-on suitcase which converts into a comfortable bed/leg-rest for young children during airline travel) while BarnOmbord offers a multi-brand rental and distribution service at airports.

“We’re very pleased to welcome these two new additions to the Stokke family,” said Jacob Osterhaab, Stokke ceo. “They are  aligned with our innovation-driven growth strategy which focuses on quality, safety and function.”

“We are excited about joining forces with Stokke,” said Halvor Holmgren, co-founder and co-inventor of BedBox, “and jointly accelerate the growth and bring more innovation to market in the years to come.”
