Green Sheep Group receives royal accolade

Green Sheep Group’s chief executive, Roger Allen, and Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire, Tim Cox, recently met His Majesty the King at Buckingham Palace.

Along with other members of the Royal Family and senior cabinet ministers, the occasion marked a significant milestone for the company as the first and only Warwickshire company to be honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise.

Green Sheep Group received the award in recognition of outstanding achievement across various categories including innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Instituted by Royal Warrant in 1965, the King’s Award for Enterprise, previously the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, celebrates the finest British businesses.

Roger Allen, chief executive of Green Sheep Group, commented: “It is truly an honour to be acknowledged with this prestigious accolade, particularly as the first Warwickshire company to receive the new King’s Award. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of the entire Green Sheep Group team.”

Since its establishment in 2006, Green Sheep Group has achieved remarkable growth. With an established presence in over 40 countries, the company aims to expand its global reach in the coming year. To support its UK partners, the company has restructured and strengthened its entire commercial operation.

Roger added: “Winning the King’s Award provides a significant boost to Green Sheep Group’s brand, The Little Green Sheep and Snuz. This recognition strengthens our strategic plans for future business development and sets the stage for international expansion later this year. The timing of this award couldn’t be more perfect.”

Winners of the King’s Award for Enterprise are granted the authority to use the Royal Crown on their products for five years.
