“Pushchairs have lagged behind,” says didofy’s founder

PreschoolNews.net spoke to Josephine Votsis, the director and founder of didofy to find out more about the new Lotus, a innovative, auto-folding three-in-one stroller.

The new didofy Lotus folds and unfolds at the press of a button into an easy-to-store collapsed size, opening in eight seconds and closing in just seven. Each charge (via USB) will provide 32 open and close cycles.

How long has it taken to bring didofy from the idea stage to launching into the market?

“It has taken three years from the initial idea to launching it into the market. We are excited to be doing something different in the market. There has been a distinct lack of innovation in the luxury pushchair segment for many years with ‘me too’ models.”

Do you see this as the future for the pushchair market?

“The world has changed and pushchairs have lagged behind. The world is about making life easier for users, most industries have embraced technology and have focused on users for example increasinly car boots are expected to open and close themselves, but the our industry hasn’t followed suit… until now that is!”

What are you most proud of?

“We are very proud to be bringing such an innovative and fantastic pushchair to the market which will make many parents, carers and grandparents lives easier. Enabling parents to concentrate on their baby and not have the hassle of trying to fold an unnecessarily complex pushchair makes us very proud.”

What are your hopes for the stroller now it is available at retail?

“We are excited to get the Lotus in the hands of retailers and continue to innovate with the goal of making life easier for parents and grandparents. We hope it will become the must-have parenting essential for 2019 and beyond for all new families!”
