Rockit named Export Champion for third year running

The Department for International Trade (DIT) has awarded Rockit its Export Champion, South West title for the third consecutive year.

The title means that the Rockit team promotes the importance of international sales and gives advice to other SMEs in the South West and further afield on starting their export journeys.

Matt Dyson, Rockit co-founder, said: “We founded Rockit nearly five years ago and have to pinch ourselves when we get news like this. Export is such an important part of our business and we really enjoy advising other businesses in the nursery sector and beyond on breaking into new markets.

“It’s been a rollercoaster journey with uncertainty prior to Brexit and the added complexities of navigating it since, along with the impact of Covid on global sales. It’s been tough to stay positive at times, but news like this and the export awards we have picked up from Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the ‘Global Growth Awards’ have really buoyed us along the way.

“A big thank you should go to our amazing distributors and retailers around the world, who have supported us throughout.”
