Early Learning Centre offers lockdown support

Preschool retail brand and expert in learning and development through play, Early Learning Centre has partnered with educational experts to support UK families’ home learning experience during the latest lockdown.

With schools currently closed and parents and carers home schooling once again, the preschool specialist has created a content hub aimed at helping families throughout the lockdown period, offering a range of content created by educational experts.

The hub will include worksheets, tips for home learning and advice on key focus areas to help parents support their children at home. Q&A opportunities on Early Learning Centre’s Facebook page will allow parents to ask the experts any questions they might have with regards to supporting their children’s learning at home.

The learning hub, which will sit on the Early Learning Centre website will be updated regularly with content to suit a wide range of ages from early years upwards, with additional activity sheets uploaded over the next few weeks.

“The impact of this third lockdown on children’s learning and development is an extremely worrying time for parents,” stated Gary Grant, founder and executive chairman of The Entertainer, which owns Early Learning Centre. “Many are now working from home and are finding themselves with the hugely challenging task of trying to teach their children at home as well. With over four months of classroom time already lost, parents are rightly worried about the impact on their children’s learning and development.”

He continued: “We want to support families as best we can through this challenging time, so we have partnered with a number of educational experts to create a hub of help and support for parents during this latest period of home schooling. Our Early Learning Centre brand is proud to have supported children’s learning and development for nearly 50 years and we hope this content will provide additional help and support to families during this challenging time.”
