Harrogate show organiser reassures exhibitors and visitors

As the situation surrounding the Covid-19 virus continues to gain pace, the show organiser behind Harrogate International Nursery Fair has issued a statement to reassure the industry that it has a back-up plan ready in case the rescheduled June date cannot go ahead.

The statement, which revealed that the Harrogate Exhibition Centre has also been reserved for 5 – 7 July 2020, read:

“Clearly, the last two weeks have seen things escalate very quickly with Covid-19 in the UK, so even before our news for the proposed change to the fair date was 24-hours-old, the Government predictions for when we might get through it had also enveloped those new dates.

However, we wish to assure you that as a small exhibition organiser we are able to react quickly and flexibly and are already securing further date options for you.

One thing that’s already going to be certain is that the usual timelines for the nursery business to be conducted in the ‘normal manner’ will all be reset for this year. But the impetus to grasp the opportunity to get sales kick-started again should be immense and we are here to help you plan for that when it happens!

Harrogate International Nursery Fair will be monitoring the situation closely and if we can still bring the show in on our revised dates of 14 – 16 June then we will. If that’s not possible but things are starting to improve then we have provisional dates already secured for a further three weeks later to 5 – 7 July.

We believe its vitally important to have some plan for the future for you all, so do watch for our further updates on what we can do to make the fair happen and let’s strive to drive through this difficult period together.”
