Little Tikes’ Play Big tour supports local charities

As well as being a resounding success, the Little Tikes’ Play Big tour has been supporting local charities across the UK as part of the brand’s 50th anniversary activity calendar, donating over £5,000 worth of product.

The Play Big events made a huge impact in their local communities, with almost 20,000 adults and children enjoying the branded play spaces throughout the month-long initiative.

Little Tikes partnered with local community charities for each regional location. The charities were then featured on the Donation Station, which visitors then used to indicate which they would most like to support.

The charities involved as stop of the tour were: Lakeside (Child First Trust, East Anglia Children’s Hospice). Westfield (Every Parent and Child, Walthamstow Toy Library), Merry Hill (Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre, Kids UK), Metrocentre (North East Autism Society, Cedar’s Academy) and Centre:MK (Milton Keynes Play Association, Henry Allen Trust).

An overwhelming amount of support was garnered throughout the tour for all ten charities, with the generous gift fund bringing hours of fun to children across the UK.

“The Play Big Tour has been a hugely exciting and successful activation for the brand and a big statement for Little Tikes to celebrate its milestone anniversary,” said Michelle Lilley, head of UK marketing. “Working with regional charities along each stop of the tour added a fantastic angle to our journey enabling guests to take part in giving back to the local community while making precious memories with their nearest and dearest.”
