Kimba Kids launches with Next

Ex-Girls Aloud star Kimberly Walsh is the latest celebrity to launch her own baby and children’s clothing range. Called Kimba Kids, the collection launched earlier this month and is currently exclusively available at Next.

The range (named Kimba Kids after Kimberley’s nickname when she was in the band) is made for children aged between from three-years upward.

The focus of the A/W18 range offering fun and affordable clothing for children after Kimberley had her own children and grew frustrated with the lack of variety on offer.

“I felt there was a distinct lack of colour and print available for kids – and boys in particular – on the high street, so I decided to create something myself,” she said. “[Having two boys made it] easier because I had a stronger idea of what I’d like to create.”

“I’ve got loads of friends with kids so I asked their opinion of what they’d want’ to wear. The response from the children was ‘a lot of leggings and throw-on dresses’. They love things that are easy to wear.”

This element of practicality can be seen throughout the designs, which are now available to buy on Next.co.uk.
