LEGO Duplo World app further extends brand

Touch Press and LEGO Group team for interactive game to help children achieve key early learning goals.

The LEGO Group has teamed up with Touch Press for the launch of LEGO Duplo World – an interactive game which helps children achieve key early learning goals, while bringing to life the world based on the LEGO Duplo toys.

The app supports development through key creative play types: constructive (build), exploratory (discover) and role-play (tell stories) using 3D LEGO Duplo bricks.

The game comprises a number of interactive activities including Number Train, Rescue Adventure and World Animals, each packed with a variety of fun scenes. For every activity there is a range of interactive play experiences designed to support learning and development skills including spatial awareness, working memory, and early math. The app encourages children, parents and friends to play together and on the go.

The learning goals encompass a broad range of learning domains including creativity, reasoning, initiative and curiosity, social and emotional development and fine-motor skills. Parents can initiate Bedtime Mode to give their child a gentle cue when it’s time to go to sleep.

“For many kids Duplo is the first step into the wonderful LEGO universe, so we’re excited to see it come to life in LEGO Duplo World,” said Sean McEvoy, vp of LEGO Games. “The game supports our long term aspiration of providing playful learning experiences and 21st century life skills to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.”

Emmet O’Neill, ceo of Touch Press, added: “This game is all about bringing joy to the lives of children and creating moments that bring parents and children closer together.

“I’m extremely proud of the fantastic work that the Touch Press team have produced in close collaboration with the LEGO team. We’ve created a game that children love to play with while they learn, with the added benefit that parents can feel very good about their children using it too.”

The game will be released under the StoryToys brand, which is an app portfolio for young children which is part of Touch Press.
