Scotland Toymaster members gear up for lockdown

Dazzle and Inkspot in Hamilton and Heaths Toymaster, Barrow-in-Furness among stores affected by new restrictions.

Toymaster members in parts of Scotland are gearing up for further COVID-19 restrictions which will see non-essential retail closed from 6pm on Friday (November 20).

The move to level four restrictions will affect 11 council areas across western and central Scotland, including Glasgow. They will remain in place until December 11.

Heaths Toymaster in Barrow-in-Furness (pictured) is one of the independent toy stores which will close on Friday. The family run business has served the adults and children of the town for more than 50 years.

In addition, Dazzle and Inkspot in Hamilton will also be closing its doors until December 11. The retailer will continue to offer a Click and Collect service (Monday to Friday) from its website and free local deliveries. In addition, it will also be keeping consumers up to date with all the latest toys and gifts as they arrive through its social media feeds.

Toymaster members in England are also continuing to keep their spirits up and tills ringing during the current lockdown.

Toymaster Isle of Wight will be helping collect toys for this year’s Christmas Toy Appeal, acting as a virtual drop off point. Consumers who buy a toy from the retailer’s website, select Click and Collect and write ‘Toy Appeal’ in the delivery details, will have the toy kept aside ready for collection by the Toy Appeal elves.

Meanwhile, on the Isle of Mann, JAC Stores is giving away free exclusive Toby Squishmallows. No purchase is necessary, shoppers simply need to head to the Douglas or Ramsey stores on November 19 and November 21 respectively, the evenings the Christmas lights switch on, to claim the toy.
