Hasbro seeing “great demand” for its products amidst coronavirus pandemic

Ceo Brian Goldner tells CNBC that supply chains are back up and running in China.

Hasbro’s ceo has told CNBC that the company is seeing “great demand” for its products during the coronavirus pandemic and that its supply chains in China are back up and running.

Brian Goldner said that demand for games and products including Play-Doh has been particularly strong. He also said that Hasbro is planning new products and a programme called ‘Bring Home the Fun’ in response to the stay at home directives being issued across the US.

The new programme will aim to give parents and caregivers resources to keep children occupied, help them get educated and keep creativity going, Brian told CNBC.

Brian also said that he believed Hasbro’s production would be fully caught up by April, but stressed that the situation remains fluid “as certain markets are closing while others are still open and robust”.
