Crowdfunding campaign values Cheeky Chompers at over £3m

Scottish-based Cheeky Chompers has raised more than £470,000 in crowdfunding round which has valued the company at more than £3 million.

Founded by Julie Wilson and Amy Livingstone, the company behind the original dribble bib and teether had originally aimed to raise £400,000 on equity investment platform Crowdcube to further scale the business through product development, direct sales growth and increased brand awareness in key markets.

The final figure came in at £472,000, valuing the company at more than £3 million.

Cheeky Chompers has sold over 1.5 million products to date, with products sold by over 31 distributors and 1,500 retailers in 49 countries.

“It has been an amazing journey over the past six years and the team has worked really hard to take an idea and turn it into a global brand,” said Julie.  “The aim now is to capitalise on the multi-billion global market for baby soothers and teethers by scaling the business to the next level.”

A recent deal with baby products retailer Mamas & Papas will also see Cheeky Chomper products available acrossthe retailer’s UK stores and website.
