Polarn O. Pyret has unveiled its Second Hand Service, putting the brand a step closer to closing its leading circular fashion model.
The new service, which is available throughout the UK, welcomes customers to return outgrown children’s outerwear such as coats, waterproofs and snow overalls, in exchange for a cash voucher. Each returned item will be assess and re-sold at special pre-loved events throughout the year in store and online.
PO.P Second Hand will minimise the hassle of selling items online and offers free postage through the returns service. Customers simply email the brand with images and info of the items they wish to return, and Polarn O. Pyret will process the request.
Mats Nilsson, Polarn O. Pyret’s UK managing director, commented: “PO.P has led the way for sustainable kidswear for decades, with organic fabrics being introduced as early as the ’80s, now making up 100% of our cotton offer. Providing an easy access re-sale service to our UK customers porlongs the lifespan of our products and decreases our common environmental footprint. Our planet goes round and round, and so should our clothes.”
The brand plans to extend the service to include collection and cotton garments as soon as 2022.
