The new Isle 0f Wight nursery indie stocks baby clothes, nursery furniture, toys, and accessories.
Owners of the new store, Mina Summers and Aaron Townsend say they plan to expand the range into larger items including wheeled goods, highchairs and bouncers soon. The pair also plan to extend the clothing range to include a toddler offering.
The Baby Bear was opened to save parents on the Isle of Wight the stress of trawling the internet for baby products.
Owner, Mina, told the Isle of Wight Country Press: “During my pregnancy and the birth of our son, we discovered a complete lack of baby shops on the island that wasn’t second-hand, and found we had to shop online for many of our baby essentials.
“Because of our previous business experience, we decided to give it a try ourselves with the goal of offering well-priced by great quality baby essentials.
“As new parents ourselves, we know that every parent runs on a tight budget, but also would rather see before they buy, which is the downside of buying online a lot of the time.”
