Vista PR celebrates 10th anniversary

The family brand focussed PR agency celebrated 10 years in business with a party last week.

Having had an unusual start to its business, md, Jane Pavia-Davis financed Vista Public Relations by taking a year-long maternity cover running the Exxon Mobile EMEA PR account at an agency in London. She spent the year on business trips to Germany and Moscow, and signed the agency’s first client, Start-Rite, which is still a client today, in early 2012.

Over the years, Vista has represented Biff, Chip & Kipper, baby skincare, prams, car seats, highchairs, scooters, ride-on toys, family holidays, cots, backpacks, home storage and decor, children’s clothes, soothers and fertility services.

To add extra celebration to its milestone anniversary, Vista has over recent months, added to its portfolio with Charlie McLeod, Dry Kids and Aqua Wipes.

When Vista began, the only social media of note was Twitter and Facebook. Now, the team integrates Google PPC and social media ad strategies alongside social management and traditional PR in its variety of forms.

Jane commented: “Of course I am proud of every client success, but the one thing I am most proud of is that we are a business with ‘family’ at its heart; we focus on family brands and operate family-friendly practices. My passion for family came from directing the P&G Fabric and Homecare brands for a number of years. I was fascinated by their acute segmentation of ‘mum’ and then watching mums become such early adopters of social media – a technology that utterly changed our landscape.

“I was interested in designing a PR firm that was audience specific, not sector specific, which was the usual way to run a PR firm at the time.  I was also determined to create a business that enabled and empowered working parents. I had watched too much talent depart after becoming a parent because the industry was so inflexible. Today I work with the most incredibly talented and committed team who inspire me every day. That’s what I am most proud of.

“I am so grateful to everyone who was able to join the little birthday party in our offices tucked away in Banbury. The drafty old Victorian bakery has been a significant part of our journey and we will be leaving it early in 2022 so this was a fitting farewell.”
