Jumbo adds to GOULA range as traditional toy trend grows

“Wooden toys and puzzles take toys back to basics and encourage children to focus on play”.

Jumbo Games is capitalising on the continuing demand for more traditional toys, further expanding the popular range of GOULA wooden and cardboard toys, puzzles and games.

This year, the company has added 13 new toys to the range, such as the Magnetic Interchangeable Wooden Farm Puzzles, Vehicles Puzzle XXL and the brightly decorated Peacock Puzzle.

In addition, new game offerings include match and stack game Go Gorilla! (pictured), shape and colour match game Safari Roulette and balancing game, Bunny Garden among others.

“Traditional toys such as those in our GOULA range are effortlessly timeless, as they teach children core skills and are produced to last – we all know how children like the play,” Steven Russell, marketing manager at Jumbo Games told PreschoolNews.net. “Wooden toys and puzzles take toys back to basics and encourage children to focus on play, instead of getting distracted by gimmicks.

“Traditional toys actively encourage children to engage fully with play and use their sensory skills to develop. Living in a technology driven society can often led to a lot of screen time, however traditional wooden toys make the child focus solely on the activity at hand while learning and having fun with the product.”

Steven continued that there has been huge growth in consumers wanting anything with a sense of nostalgia, and that parents often find it comforting to let their children engage with toys that they themselves played with at a young age.

He added: “In the early stages of development for a child, consumers are often looking for products that help the child learn through play and that is exactly what our traditional toys do.”
