Family-run nursery retailer Winstanleys Pramworld has opened a second high street store, based in Stoke-On-Trent, after more than 60 years in business.
The second store – based on Leek Road Retail Park in Hanley – will aim to provide the same ‘very best customer experience from start to finish, at the very best price’, that the Wigan store, which first opened in 1957, already prides itself upon.
The new state-of-the-art Stoke showroom – which opened on 3 February and is open seven days a week – offers one-to-one shopping experience, car seat fitting, safety checks and advice, expert product demonstrations, and flexible payment plans.
Visitors are also able to benefit from free on-site parking and access to over 50 market leading brands, covering everything from prams and car seats to furniture, bedding and baby essentials.
“As one of the UK’s largest independent online retailers we are able to offer online prices in-store, representing tremendous value for money,” said director David Winstanley. “The business was started by my grandfather in the 50s and now in 2018 the company is run by my dad and I – a true family business with family values.”
It took David and his team approximately eight weeks to create the showroom from an empty space, and he has worked closely with the best names in the industry to create a comfortable and spacious store.
“We chose to open a shop in Stoke-on-Trent based upon the successful model of our Wigan store,” he added. “Like Wigan there’s a large population within the area and great transport links to the outlying areas and towns.”
The new store is easily accessible from the A500 and based just a couple of miles from Hanley town centre.
