Bugaboo receives B Corp certification

Bugaboo has announced that it is a certified B Corp, showing it is committed, and on the right path, to making a positive impact on the world for future generations.

Based on the B Impact assessment, Bugaboo earned an overall score of 84.7, compared to the median score for ordinary businesses which complete the assessment, of 50.9.

Bugaboo is building on a foundation of conscious choices, including pushing its footprint down to net zero CO2 by 2035. The company is using more sustainable materials, and creating circular services, such as Bugaboo Flex, to give strollers a longer life.

By owning its own factory in Xiamen, the brand can ensure safe, fair, and humane working conditions. Bugaboo has also raised the standard of paid leave, so eligible employees have equitable access to time off for maternity, parental bonding and family care leave.

To promote success and well-being in work, Bugaboo also offers career development opportunities and mental health support through OpenUp.

Bugaboo commented: “We’re proud to have joined a community using business as a force for good. But there’s more work to do. Our B Corp Certification will keep us pushing to do even better.”
