Spielwarenmesse’s Toy Business Forum takes shape

Spielwarenmesse has revealed further details on its Toy Business Forum, as it gets ready to welcome the trade back to Nuremberg from 1-5 February 2023.

Taking place in Hall 3A of the exhibition centre, the Forum will play host to 18 international speakers with 21 presentations on trends in toys and in retailing, digitalisation and the metaverse, as well as sustainability and diversity.

The presentations will take place between 1pm and 3pm each day, with the final event each day being the presentations on the Spielwarenmesse ToyTrends – which in 2023 will be Discover, Brands for Fans and MetaToys.

In addition, in the mornings from Wednesday to Sunday, executives from the licensing industry will introduce the latest topics during LicenseTalks.

A new feature is the Live on Stage presentation format.

Speakers will include Reyne Rice, international toy and trend expert, who will be presenting ‘Emerging trends and future innovations in toys, games and play technology’; Steve Reece, toy sector consultant, speaking on ‘The Future of Toys’; metaverse expert Dominik Griese-Kentschke; TikTok’s Niklas Wittkowski, who will reveal what lies behind the concept of ‘Millennial marketing’ and how to communicate with Generation Z; and expert in digital transformation, Achim Himmelreich of Capgemini Deutschland among others.

The complete Toy Business Forum programme and information on the speakers is available online at www.spielwarenmesse.de/en/toybusinessforum.
