Rockit wins advertising investment worth £10,000

The baby sleep tech brand is set to see its advertising reach millions on billboards around the UK after winning the investment.

Matt Dyson, co-founder of Rockit, produced the winning ad, which was picked out by the judges of Small Business Goes Big, a national competition which saw 10 businesses have their own design advert displayed on over 100 digital screens across the UK.

The winning entry was created on new design app Adobe Express, which helps entrepreneurs when it comes to anything design related, from website pages t0 social media assets, to branding and more.

Small Business Goes Big was launched earlier this year by small business support platform Enterprise Nation, together with Adobe and JC Decaux Nurture, to unleash small business creativity and help firms update their brand identity and reach more customers.

Rockit’s ad will be featured on JC Decaux’s portfolio of prominent digital billboards, bus shelters and landmark buildings for two weeks in August, reaching up to 10 million people nationwide.

Matt commented: “We’re really excited to see the Rockit name in lights, it’s going to make such a big difference to our brand. We’ve not used digital out of home advertising before, so we can’t wait to see the impact it will have.”

Emma Jones, founder of small business support platform, Enterprise Nation, added: “It’s so brilliant to see small businesses as well as large, get the opportunity to see their names featured in prominent advertising spaces like this.

“It also shows that taking the time to develop your digital brand and design using practical apps like Adobe Express can make a big difference, often taking your business to another level. This competition has seen some strong digital designs and it’s been wonderful judging them.”

Simon Morris, senior director, digital media marketing EMEA at Adobe, said: “From funds to resources, there are so many challenged that small business owners face. At Adobe we want to empower as many people through creativity as possible and give them the confidence and tools needed to be successful. We’re excited to support UK small businesses in the next stage of their growth.”

Judge Lucy Werner, co-founder of HypeYourself.com, commented: “For small business owners learning to hype themselves, everything starts with a story. The winners of this competition are all fab examples of narrative-led, simple and impactful campaigns.”
