Ergobaby wins the space race

Baby brand Ergobaby has marked the launch of its first ever stroller by sending the new Metro City compact stroller more than 100,000ft into the Earth’s atmosphere.

The ergonomic, lightweight stroller launched from Loch Cluanie in the highlands of Scotland, rising for a little over an hour to a peak altitude of 31,066m (101,922ft), before returning to Earth beside the River Avon safe and sound.

The stroller spent around two hours on its journey into the unknown, where it faced temperatures as cold as -64.1C and reached speeds of over 200mph.

In addition to being the only stroller to have been sent into space, the Metro City is also the only stroller on the market to be certified ‘back-friendly’ by experts at the AGR (Campaign for Healthier Backs), with a smooth ride suspension and large back tyres which easily handle pavement cracks, cobblestones and curbsides.

The Metro City Stroller brings Ergobaby’s famously comfortable ergonomic design standards to an ultra-compact stroller that easily fits on buses, tubes, planes and in small car boots.
