Toymaster honours members and independent trade at May Show

Toymaster is celebrating another successful May Show, with its members and the independent trade flocking to Harrogate between 16-18 May.

The buying group also handed out a number of awards during its two evening events – one of which had an Irish theme – honouring some long-standing members, as well as industry executives.

Special 25 year membership accolades were awarded to:

  • The Toy Shop, Cockermouth – Jonty and Fiona Chippendale
  • C&H Burns, Cookstown – Ciaran and Helen Burns
  • Mary’s Toymaster, Macroom – Richard and Mary Creedon
  • Nimble Fingers, Dublin – Gareth Staunton
  • O’Mahony’s, Limerick – Colette Cotter
  • Michael Beatty Toymaster, Loughrea – Michael Shiel

 

Friends of Toymaster awards were also given to:

  • Erica Heythornthwaite, Orchard Toys
  • Kingsley Matthews, TOMY

 

Supplier of the Year went to Kandy Toys.

In addition, Ciaran Fitzpatrick from Banba Toymaster in Dublin – and former Toymaster chairman – received a Special Recognition award and a Golden Teddy, with Neil Leah from KAP Toys also being awarded a Golden Teddy.
