Preschool names shine at The Licensing Awards 2023

A host of familiar preschool brands and companies are celebrating having picked up accolades at The Licensing Awards 2023 earlier this week.

Best Licensed Preschool Property was awarded to Bluey, with the team from BBC Studios enthusiastically taking to the stage to accept the accolade (pictured).

Bluey was also successful for Amscan International, with the team picking up the Best Licensed Dress-up or Partyware Range for its Bluey Party, Balloon and Dress-up Collection.

“It is a fantastic achievement to have won this accolade for our Bluey party, balloons and costume collection and is testament to the creative talents of our fabulous product and design teams who have produced a high-quality range that truly resonates with consumers,” commented Mel Beer, Wonder’s group licensing director. “Our Bluey collection has sustainability at its very core, with our costumes made from 100% sustainable fabric and party product, and packaging, designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. This is very much a differentiator for our product range when compared to others within our marketplace.”

Best Licensed Food or Drink Range went to PAW Patrol Juice Drinks from Vital-Life Nutraceuticals, while Ladybird Educational’s Learn with Peppa range was awarded Best Licensed Written, Listening or Learning Range.

Spin Master was the winner of Best Licensed Toys or Games Range for its Gabby’s Dollhouse Collection, while the PAW Patrol on a Stroll Campaign with Dogs Trust was awarded Best Licensed Promotions Campaign.

Best Retailer of Preschool Licensed Products, meanwhile, went to The Entertainer.

Meanwhile, David Falkner, director of Cardology, was overjoyed to be recognised with the Best Licensed Paper Products or Stationery award for its Peter Rabbit Pop Up Card Range.

“When it comes to our licensing collaborations, Cardology have always aimed to produce the cards that live longest in our customers’ memories, so we’re made up that the Peter Rabbit cards our customers are giving for first arrivals, birthdays and Christmases have been recognised in this way,” he commented. “What made the evening extra special, though, was being in the company of talented industry friends who always push us to go further, and specifically with the fantastic team at Penguin Ventures who’ve supported us throughout.

“Most of all, however, this win is recognition for the savvy buyers who first spotted the demand within the market for a super-premium card/gift crossover product, and have been with us on our journey ever since.”
