Julian Kynaston, founder of cosmetics brand Illamasqua and the brand-builder behind GHD, has joined Pippeta as non-executive chair to the board.
The branding expert will be on-hand to guide Pippeta through its next phase of growth and development and further establish its positioning in the breastfeeding category.
Julian commented: “I really respect the brand’s ethos to empower mothers and offer supportive, premium quality products at an affordable price-point. There are some big global players in the breast pump sector, but the prospects for Pippeta, as a UK Independent brand, are exciting and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of their journey to succeed.”
Pippeta’s founder, Aimee Cestrone added: “It’s a real coup for us to get such an industry leader on our board. 2024 is set to be a pivotal and exciting year for us and I know Julian will be a huge asset to our company. We have ambitious plans to significantly increase our market share in the UK and beyond and given Julian’s background, he will play an integral part in helping us to achieve our goals.”
The brand has also expanded its in-house team with the appointment of a new marketing executive, Lauryn Middleton, who joins from Get Smirk, a leading UK oral care brand. Additionally, she successfully built and managed her own e-commerce business, specialising in children’s clothing and accessories.
Pippeta also continues to work with TV personality and breastfeeding advocate Ferne McCann, following the success of its #BreastfeedingBeauties campaign in February to support Breastfeeding in Public. Ferne will be joining Pippeta’s Lactation Consultant Maria Myres for an Instagram Live to answer any questions from consumers on Monday 15 July at 8pm.
