Nuna introduces infant car seat with integrated ISOFIX

The new PIPA urbn is the only infant carrier with integrated ISOFIX connectors, meaning it doesn’t require an additional base.

Nuna’s PIPA urbn can be transferred to different cars and taxis with ease with seamlessly integrated ISOFIX connectors, and weighing only 3.3kg. The seat also features a one-handed vehicle and pushchair release for easy transfers.

Equipped with a three-point harness and Side Impact Protection (SIP) for safety, PIPA urbn also features a Merino wool headrest and body insert to support growing babies.

Other features include a leatherette carry handle for secure grip, as well as Nuna’s Dream drape, which pulls out from the car seat’s canopy to provide privacy, while the UPF 50+ canopy also features a flip-out eyeshade and peek-a-boo window.

PIPA urbn offers extensive safety features including Aeroflex foam – a lightweight, resilient material that minimises the force transferred to baby by absorbing and diffusing energy, as well as an auto reclining foot which aids in proper installation.

The seat is created from environmentally friendly fabrics which are Greenguard Gold certified. From fabric to foam and beyond, all materials on the PIPA urbn are naturally flame resistant, containing no added chemicals, making them Fire-Retardant free, and safer for children.

Steve Gerhard, product development vice president at Nuna Baby, commented: “We spent over two years focusing our expertise on designing an infant car seat travel system that surpasses every expectation – and with the PIPA urbn, we did that. The PIPA urbn is an all-star.”
