January 2024 issue of PPS out now

The January/February issue of Progressive Preschool magazine is out now in both print and digital formats, reaching retailers across toy, nursery, licensing and more in the kids product and retail sectors.

Kicking off the New Year in style, PPS takes a look at the upcoming London Toy Fair, 23-25 January, wherein the show will celebrate its 70th anniversary in style and under the stewardship of PPS Outstanding Achievement Award winning Maken Immink. The feature includes insight into the show and the hot preschool product ranges to look out for.

PPS also takes a look at Spielwarenmesse, 30 January – 3 February in Nuremberg, where a mix of British Pavilion exhibitors and international toy suppliers and distributors will offer an enviable opportunity for global business to take place under one roof. Additionally, if your shoes can stand any further wear and tear, Spring Fair, 4 – 7 February at the NEC in Birmingham also offers opportunity for retailers with wider focuses to see some of the most opportunistic ranges for the kids retail space.

The year kick starts with the launch of the hugely anticipated cinematic experience; Peppa’s Cinema Party, featuring the voices of megastar couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. Katy and Orlando will both help promote this event to drive ticket sales and generate a huge halo of Peppa buzz.

There’s plenty more ways to celebrate this year with podcast content with Audible, theme park openings in Germany and U.S, immersive live shows, a VIP party, plus much more.

“All this will be amplified through a full year of franchise marketing,” says Catrina O’Brien, UK Licensing Director for Hasbro. “We will be going big at retail across the UK and the globe. In the UK we will be activating and celebrating at retail with in store POS, events and parties, out of aisle moments, window executions, online POS, digital and media, the list goes on! This will be the biggest investment at retail we have seen for the brand as we amp up the party of the year. This will all power us into 2025 stronger than ever.”
