Casdon joins forces with Ooni in latest collaboration

Preschool role-play specialist, Casdon has teamed up with Ooni – a leader in the at-home pizza oven market – to launch a range of toy replicas.

With its ever-expanding range of pizza ovens, pizza-making ingredients and accessories, Ooni has seen significant growth in consumers creating pizza at home.

Bringing this trend to life and into the hands of children, Casdon has followed suit, creating miniature versions of the Ooni Koda Pizza Oven and Ooni Pizza Topping Station, allowing little ones to be just like adults and create their very own Neapolitan-style pizza at home through realistic role-play.

Suitable for children aged three and above, the toy pizza oven mirrors its real-life counterpart, featuring a real-flame effect light and coming equipped with an assortment of toppings such as mozzarella, pepperoni and basil.

It also features detachable sauce elements, alongside accessories such as a pizza peel and cutter, plus a six-slice circular pizza that effortlessly slides in and out of the realistic oven.

Meanwhile, the Ooni Toy Pizza Topping Station includes a pizza peel and four-slice square pizza. There its a removable lid to help keep all 24 toppings fresh, plus easy to follow recipe cards so little ones can make anything from a classic Neapolitan Margherita to Hawaiian.

The range is also Casdon’s first line of products made from recycled materials, all sourced from recycled PC mouse cases and food containers. This aligns with Ooni’s values while maintaining the high quality, function and feature-rich play that Casdon toys are known for.

“Our research and development team are constantly on the lookout for upcoming trends and brands in the home and kitchen spaces,” commented Simone Inskip, marketing manager at Casdon. “By looking into what the leading trends are, we can ensure we bring little ones the most relevant and realistic role-play tools into the hands of children which is one reason why Casdon are known as the role-play rulers within the preschool toy place with seven out of the 10 bestselling lines belonging to us.

“We are all so proud to be partnering with well-recognised and global brand, Ooni, and feel this is the perfect partnership. We revealed the new product range at Toy Fair in January and have been extremely pleased with the response we’ve received so far; we can’t wait for children to enjoy the experience of pizza making role-play.”

Darina Garland, co-founder and co-ceo, added: “Bringing the joy of the pizza-making experience into people’s homes is at the heart of what we do and we’re so excited to be partnering with Casdon to create our very first Ooni Koda Pizza Oven and Pizza Topping Station toy replicas, so that children can get in on the pizza making action too.

“As both a parent and someone with a background in education, I couldn’t be more thrilled about our partnership with Casdon. The power of imaginative play is well documented, and we know its crucial role in child development. But, perhaps just as importantly, these toys are so adorable and freaking cool.”
