The K+J Report: Summer Infant

Baby and infant trade show Kind + Jugend 2018, which took place from 20 – 23 September, played host to a number of exciting launches, industry announcements and brand new products. Summer Infant’s brand and product marketing co-ordinator Charlotte Young looked back at this year’s show.

Hello Charlotte! How was Kind + Jugend for you?

“It was a successful show and we received some really positive feedback from our distributors and retail partners.”

This year has been a busy one for Summer Infant, hasn’t it. Can you tell us a little about that?

“We have been busy innovating and updating our product range to ensure our latest collections are compelling and competitive in today’s market. All of our products are thoughtfully designed with parents in mind to help make everyday moments and routines easier, safer and more fun.  We have also continued to invest in our marketing efforts this year, including partnering with Mumii and Emma’s Diary to support our hero product launches.”

What’s been the main focus of this year’s show for you?

“We have been showcasing our latest international product range including a wide selection of brand new items for 2019, as well as a brand refresh which features a collection of curated products at an elevated price point.”

We’ve seen a few exciting lines that will be launching in 2019 – which are you most looking forward to?

“Our latest range of monitors for 2019, as they offer customers new and innovative features – such as HD video – that differentiate them from the current monitors available in the market. Our additional brand refresh, which is currently still under wraps, is also exciting as this will bring a new cross-category collection of products to the market with bespoke marketing content to support the new brand look and feel.”
