Silver Cross Simplicity Plus is awarded highest ADAC rating

The Simplicity Plus car seat has been awarded the joint top rating of all infant carriers tested by ADAC in 2021, with a score of 1.7 when tested with the ISOFIX base.

Germany-based ADAC is an internationally recognised independent testing body, renowned for its rigorous approach to crash testing. As part of testing, the organisation puts each car seat through a comprehensive range of front and side impact tests, all exceeding standard European requirements. As well as safety, ADAC testing takes other factors into account such as operation, ergonomics and pollutants.

The Simplicity Plus is suitable from birth to 15 months old, and offers safety and comfort, combining all of the features of the Simplicity car seat with new and enhanced seat ergonomics.

Meanwhile the Silver Cross Dream with i-Size base remains the highest scoring ADAC infant carrier, with a record-breaking score of 1.5.

Hamish McPhillips, Silver Cross car safety manager, said: “We’re delighted with this excellent result and proud that Silver Cross has two of the safest car seats on the market, both having been tested to the highest possible standard by an independent, world-leading safety authority.”
