Rainbow Designs bids farewell to longest serving team member

Richard Longmate spent almost 40 years as a dedicated sales agent for company.

After nearly 40 years as a dedicated sales agent at Rainbow Designs, the company is bidding a fond farewell to Richard Longmate, the longest serving member of the Rainbow team.

Richard (pictured) joined Rainbow Designs on July 1, 1980 and has spent the last four decades supporting independent retailers in the East Anglia area.

Starting under the leadership of former owner, Mike Mutters, Richard has been part of the business’ journey and witnessed the addition of many new brands and collections along the way.

“Richard has been an integral part of building our independent business over the last four decades and we are extremely grateful for the time and dedication he has given Rainbow over the last 40 years,” said Anthony Temple, md of Rainbow Designs. “We all wish Richard the very best for the future and will no doubt be catching up with him again very soon.”

Richard added: “I have greatly enjoyed my association with Rainbow over so many years and wish them all the very best for the future. I look forward to seeing my wonderful customers in 2020 with great new products from all my other agencies.”
