PPS Awards joins the digital movement for 2020

The Progressive Preschool Awards 2020 – which reward and recognise excellence across the preschool sector – will now be moving online for this year’s event, allowing the industry to celebrate the successes of the past year, despite the restrictions and safety issues in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online awards event will still be taking place on Tuesday 12 November, moving to an evening slot to allow guests and sponsors to fully enjoy the event.

Rob Willis, director and co-owner of Max Publishing which owns and organises the Progressive Preschool Awards said: “We’ve known for while now that events faced a degree of uncertainty and we have been on almost daily calls with our event logistics partners as well as taking outside counsel from the experts. But as we’ve all seen, progress is still in action in terms of the safety and indeed normality of day-to-day life, so at this time it isn’t feasible to host a large scale business event.”

“If nothing else, we’re famed for our industry parties and we would rather host ‘the big one’ next year when our guests can feel totally safe and sound,” Rob continued: “The good news is that the digital offering for 12 November is really very good, we will still be together, we will still unveil the winners and we will still be united – it’s a great excuse for opening the good wine and getting dressed up even if you’re at home!”

The entry and judging process also moved online this year, with an online portal working extremely well to ensure that products, retailers and suppliers will still get the recognition they deserve.

Further details of the online ceremony will be unveiled in the coming weeks, with full support from the loyal PPS Awards sponsors and PR partner Bump PR.

The PPS Awards will return to a live event in 2021 in its usual November afternoon slot, with the final date to be announced shortly.
