Parents praise Playmobil’s coronavirus video as it notches up views

Short film narrated by robot figure, ROBert, explains coronavirus to children, reaching over 120,000 views so far.

Playmobil has been widely praised by parents following the launch of its short film aimed directly at explaining the coronavirus outbreak to children.

The video – which is narrated by robot figure, ROBert – has so far notched up over 123,000 views on YouTube, with parents also taking to social media to describe it as a “fantastic video” and containing just the right about of info.

Called ROBert explains the coronavirus to children, the video uses Playmobil’s familiar pieces and characters to guide children through the facts in a non-frightening way. It explains why they need to stay inside, social distancing, wash their hands more often and cannot go to school or nursery, The Independent reported.

“This movie uses Playmobil to help explain in a way that children can understand what is happening right now, what we can all do to ease the situation, and why it so important to avoid contact with other children and adults,” Playmobil commented.
