Orchard Toys welcomes Robert Mann

Respected exec takes over from Mary Watson who retires from the company this month.

Orchard Toys has welcomed respected toy industry exec Robert Mann to its team.

Robert (pictured) has joined the company as export sales manager, taking over from Mary Watson who retires from Orchard Toys after 19 years this month.

Robert is returning to the toy industry after a period of four years working as an international business consultant.

“We were delighted when Robert expressed an interest in joining Orchard Toys and it took very little time to agree that this is a perfect fit for both parties,” said Simon Newbery, md of Orchard Toys. “Robert brings with him, a wealth of industry experience and an ambition to drive export sales forward, that is in line with our own.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming him aboard and I know that he will build on the fantastic base that Mary created for Orchard Toys in export markets. Of course, our thanks and best wishes go out to Mary for a long and happy retirement.”

Robert added: “I am excited and looking forward to joining Orchard Toys and being associated with a great team and product portfolio.

“Mary has done a fantastic job to develop the company’s reach internationally and I hope to capitalise on this foundation and bring new opportunities to Orchard Toys through my extensive business experience.”
