Company’s Simon Prest stars with Toy Fair TV host in a film to humour the trade and introduce 2021 lines.
In a somewhat slapstick film to humour the trade, games and jigsaws company Orchard Toys has kicked off its own Virtual Toy Fair this week.
The company’s Simon Prest is seen chatting to Toy Fair TV’s Gavin Inskip at Olympia, followed by a Zoom meeting between the duo.
The video is hosted on a dedicated website which the company has set up exclusively for the toy fair season.
The Orchard Toy Fair website not only hosts the spoof show reel, but gives retailers the chance to book a virtual meeting with their account manager and presents videos of each of the company’s new lines for 2021.
The company’s broadest launch to date covers a variety of themes, including unicorns, dinosaurs, mermaids and more, plus a range of price points and educational values.
“We are obviously disappointed not to be at the toy fairs this year, but we wanted to do something fun and a little bit different, which is in the spirit of how we approach the toy fairs,” commented Simon. “The website is a great platform to be able to share our new range and also offers customers a simple solution for meeting with their account managers in the virtual world we’re all living in.”
Orchard Toys is offering an extended Toy Fair period from now until February 26 to give retailers and buyers the opportunity to book a virtual meeting at their leisure. All customers who book an appointment for a virtual meeting will receive an exclusive ‘no-show offer’.
