Nursery companies rack up prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise

Nursery companies Green Sheep Group and Harrison Spinks have been celebrating this week as they are awarded with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

The coveted award was presented to the Green Sheep Group – the company behind the award-winning SnüzPod and SnüzPouch – for its innovative products and impressive growth and is one of the most prestigious accolades a UK based company can win.

“The whole company was absolutely delighted to receive the news,” said chief executive Roger Allen. “It is testimony to the hard work and upbeat culture in every department that we have received such an incredible honour.”

The awards are announced annually on the Queen’s birthday (21 April) and the recipients are specially selected by Her Majesty the Queen.

Leeds-based luxury bed maker Harrison Spinks received two prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise (for Innovation and International Trade – the latter following a 296% increase in exports), bringing the total number won by the company to four.

“To be granted two more Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is a huge honour and reflects the hard work and dedication of the whole Harrison Spinks team,” said managing director Simon Spinks. “We feel that our British values of innovation and quality have set us up for success in a global marketplace.
