My 1st Years awarded a coveted B&LLA

A collaboration between the Natural History Museum and My 1st Years for a range of personalised preschool childrenswear has triumphed in the Best Brand Licensed Children’s Product or Range category at this year’s Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards (B&LLAs).

The winners of the hotly contested B&LLAs 2025 were announced on Thursday 24 April at a glittering awards event, held at the Royal Lancaster London. Hosted by fashion legend Jeff Banks, the brand licensing community’s annual get-together was attended by some 450 retailers, licensees and brand owners who shared in the joy as the worthy winners made their way to the stage to collect their trophies.

Elicia Hicks, My 1st Years softlines buyer, and NHM licensing manager Louisa Skevington (pictured) were presented with their award by Ian Downes of Start Licensing, which sponsored the Best Brand Licensed Children’s Product or Range category this year.

“Winning Best Brand or Licensed Children’s Product or Range at this year’s B&LLAs for our collection with The Natural History Museum honestly feels amazing,” said Elicia. “This project has been such a special one for us and to see it recognised in this way means the world. It’s a real testament to the hard work, creativity, and heart that went into every piece, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created together.”

The winning My 1st Years x Natural History Museum collection features personalised dinosaur-themed items ranging from raincoats and backpacks made using recycled polyester, to FSC certified wellies.
