Nursery and maternity retailer Mothercare has announced that non-executive directors Richard Rivers and Lee Ginsberg will be stepping down from their roles in the business.
Richard Rivers, who has served as a non-executive director on the Mothercare board for 11 years, is not standing for re-election and will step down from his role on 19 July. Mothercare will not be looking to replace Richard with a new senior non-executive director until the current CVA and fundraising efforts have been completed.
Lee Ginsberg has taken the decision to leave the retailer because of a new role he has taken outside the company that: “could impact his commitment to support Mothercare”. He will also be officially stepping down in July and will be succeeded by Nick Wharton, non-executive director, as chair of the audit and risk committee.
The official announcement also said that Mothercare would be publishing the annual report and accounts for the year ended 24 March 2018 on www.mothercareplc.com later today (Thursday 14 June 2018).
