Juratoys joins with the MapedGroup

Juratoys has joined the independent French brand, the MapedGroup.

The brands Janod, Kaloo and Lilliputiens, as well as those distributed by Juratoys, join Maped’s portfolio of brands including Maped Picnik, Maped Creativ, Maped Office, Helix and Helit.

Founded in 1947, Maped is an independent, French, family-owned brand that designs and manufactures school, colouring, writing and office supplies, as well as creative play kits and nomad food containers. The group distributes its brands in more than 120 countries, has 17 commercial subsidiaries worldwide and generated 75% of its sales with exports.

Juratoys, meanwhile, has been designing and distributing games and toys for over 50 years.

A joint statement from the MapedGroup and Juratoys teams said that the merger ‘reinforces the vision shared by both companies around awakening and developing children’s talent, with the shared mission of providing them with the tools and games essential to their fundamental, academic and playful skills’.

The newly formed group will look to accelerate the development of a sustainable global offer ‘entirely focused on the essential learning of the developing child’.
