Golden Bear renews Twirlywoos master toy partnership

Agreement for popular DHX property extended through to 2020.

Golden Bear has renewed its master toy deal for DHX Brands’ Twirlywoos property through to 2020.

Originally appointed in 2014, Golden Bear has enjoyed a raft of success with products for the CBeebies hit. These include the Big Red Boat Play-set – which featured in the brand’s first TV marketing campaign – plus the Run-along Twirlywoos, which won Gold in both the Loved by Parents awards and the Practical Pre-school Awards.

This year saw it launch Chatty Twirlywoos, an assortment of soft toys with sparkly fabric head tufts, big feet and exaggerated features.

“We are delighted to renew our partnership with DHX Brands on Twirlywoos,” said Barry Hughes, md of Golden Bear. “Peekaboo have become core favourite characters for pre-school children in the UK and beyond, and we are thrilled to be continuing to deliver Twirlywoos toys to them for many years to come.”

Tom Roe, commercial director at DHX Brands, added: “On screen, the lovable Twirlywoos have captured the hearts and minds of preschoolers around the world, and the wonderful toys from Golden Bear have allowed children to extend that enjoyment into real life.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Golden Bear, and look forward to working with them on Twirlywoos toys in the coming years.”
