Reusable nappy company Bambino Mio has reported that its sales have increased by 80% year-on-year, as consumers begin to turn away from the disposable market.
The company has attributed its success over the last 12 months to a number of factors. It has put its ‘huge growth’ down to significant international retailer activity (such as partnering with Aldi in the UK), e-commerce initiatives and new product and design developments as well as the ‘increasing spotlight on the reusable category’.
The company’s best-selling Bug’s Life collection launched earlier this year, while a number of new additions to the accessories category have been equally successful. The newest collection, Safari Celebration, will be launching in January.
Other successes for the company include the founders, Guy and Jo Schanschieff being listed in The Telegraph’s LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders and Bambino Mio itself winning Export Champion of the Year at the Growing Business Awards 2019.
Bambino Mio is also a member of the Nappy Alliance and as such has been part of the extremely positive political movement to support the use of reusable nappies.
