BANTAs open for entries

The Baby Products Association’s 2018 Baby and Nursery Trade Awards (BANTAs) are open for entry, with the winners set to be announced at Harrogate International Nursery Fair, taking place from 25 – 27 March 2018.

All companies exhibiting at Harrogate International Nursery Fair are invited to enter the awards by simply submitting any products which they believe deserve recognition.

There are four categories in the BANTAs this year:

Home
Highchairs, stair gates, cooker guards, tap guards, harnesses and reins, changing bags, mealtime accessories such as bottles, bowls, cutlery and soothers.

Nursery
Cots, Moses baskets, changing units, sleepbags, cot bumpers, bedding, mattresses, mobiles, nightlights, monitors, bed rails, bathing equipment and nappies.

Travel
All groups of car seats, wheeled conveyances and travel systems, travel cots, infant carriers/slings, parasols and canopies, rain covers and sleep-shades, car seat accessories and pushchair accessories.

Best New Product
Any new product which has launched to market after Harrogate International Nursery Fair 2017 and has not been seen at the show before.

“The BANTAs are judged by a panel of industry experts who all have in-depth knowledge of the nursery industry and excellent commercial awareness,” says the BPA’s Julie James.

“The finalists and winners are chosen for a number of factors including consumer appeal, innovation, marketability, safety and value for money. The awards provide visitors and buyers attending the show an indication of products which the judges consider are likely to do well in 2018.”

Finalists will be asked to make a sample of their product available for judges to view at Harrogate International Nursery Fair by Saturday 24 March. The winners will be announced at 4pm on Sunday 25 March in the Seminar Theatre in Hall Q.

The cost of entry is just £45 + VAT and must be received no later than 15 March 2018.

Entry forms can be downloaded here.
